Just 2km from the centre of Funchal, with the forum shopping centre just over the road which has a huge choice of shops and restaurants plus a large supermarket on the lower floor. Funchal has many things to offer , from its beautiful gardens, to its squares and coffee shops, museums and galleries.Plus you will find a whole host of other tourist attractions including the cable car up to Monte and the tropical gardens, and then another cable car will take you onto the botanical gardens.
Walking into Funchal is easy and on the flat , but if you prefer to take the bus there are plenty and at very cheap prices which make for a good way to get around , and bus passes can save you even more which you can just top up as needed.
